Scholarships For Single Mothers Returning To School

Posted by scholarshipsforolderstudents on July 16, 2010 in College Scholarships |

There are many scholarships for single mothers out there to be registered for.  Some of these scholarships are The Jeanette Rankin Foundation Scholarship Program, Patsy Takemoto Mink Education Foundation, Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund, and a scholarship to win $10,000.

The first scholarship I want to discuss with you is one where you could win $10,000.  All you have to do is complete the short and simple registration form and click “SUBMIT”.  This could be the easiest $10,000 you could win for college this year.  You can also use this for the college of your choice, and you can use this money on anything you wish going toward your college education.  There is a new winner every month for this scholarship, so you could be the next winner.

Another Scholarship is the The Patsy Takemoto Mink Education Foundation for a Low Income Women and Children.  For this scholarship you must be a mother with minor children, be enrolled in college, be enrolled in a accredited program, and be in low-income.  The foundation will offer five scholarships worth up to $2,000 each for low-income women with children who are returning or going to school.

The Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship was founded in 1990 to assist single parents to complete a post-secondary education.  To apply for this scholarship you must live in Arkansas, graduated from high school or have a GED.  Applicants must be residents of the county they are applying in, must earn income at or near the poverty level, and haven’t received a baccalaureate degree.
